Developments in AI will shape all elements of our future societies, how we harness this technology will ultimate dictate planetary health and the ecosystems that surround us.
This pathway aims to connect participants to nature and focuses on positive applications of AI in relation to the environment. From the importance of scuttle flies in criminology, agriculture and immunology to the applications of remote sensing technology to monitor complex ecosystems, participants will come away with knowledge of vital developments in environmental sustainability and computer science technology research that can be harnessed to encourage sustainability policy engagement.
This pathway introduces new research in areas such as bioaccoustics, air pollution monitoring, machine learning for statistical data analysis and environmental monitoring of tropical forests and tree canopies.
This programme is suited to participants with existing knowledge of electronics, advanced maths and coding.
